We were originally referred to someone to build our network; the person came, and he didn’t know what he was doing. What was worse was that I didn’t know that he was inept until it was too late. As our EMR go-live date approached, it became apparent that I needed someone else. Recently our incumbent local carrier experienced underground cable issues and 5 of our 9 point to point circuits went down. This could have meant disaster for our satellite offices accessing our EMR here at the main location. All of the failover measures Stemp put in place kicked in automatically, our EMR system was accessible, and we could see patients from all satellite locations.
